North Ridge Country Club to be Site of 100th Anniversary Celebration

North Ridge Country Club in Fair Oaks offers a luxurious and welcoming environment for golf lovers and social members, blending championship golf with vibrant community life.

It will be the site for the 100^th anniversary celebration of the California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch.

The club emphasizes quality service, exceptional dining, and a variety of recreational activities in a scenic setting. Pristine grounds are meticulously maintained to serve its members and the more than 100 guests expected to attend the Sacramento writers’ anniversary gala.

The centennial event will be in a venue that could be described with a literary cliché – “a clean, well-lighted place” – with windows looking out to the beautiful grounds.

With Executive Chef Darrell Madeira, the club offers diverse dining options ranging from casual to fine dining, including a bar and grille, patios, and the formal dining room with panoramic views. Our event will include a buffet and a no-host bar, featuring drinks and cocktails made famous by literary greats.

            Established in 1951 by local golfers James Brady and E.J. Duffy, who were seeking prime weekend tee times, the North Ridge club incorporated in 1952 with initial membership offerings. Prolific golf course architects William Bell & Son designed the course and oversaw its completion in 1955. Over time it has evolved with significant course and clubhouse developments, including a makeover of the greens and bunkers by Robert Trent Jones in 2018.

            As a premier golf and social club for the Greater Sacramento Area, North Ridge operates as a private, proprietary ownership country club known for its championship golf course and comprehensive social and dining amenities.
